On Friday 3rd June, Geo Oceans won the “2022 Australian Subsea Exporter of the Year” at the Australian Subsea Business Awards. Hosted by Subsea Energy Australia, the event took place at the WA Museum Boola Bardip to celebrate the best in Australia’s subsea and ocean-based industry – so it was a great honour to be nominated for and awarded as Exporter of the Year.
The Exporter of the Year award celebrates an Australian company with international success in exporting Australian subsea and ocean-based technologies and capabilities, demonstrating export growth or international expansion.
Following on from the two awards received by Geo Ocean in 2020 (“Company of the Year” and “Innovation and Technology”), the team were humbled to be up against some very reputable businesses in our industry. Winning the award was a massive achievement and a testament to the hard work put in by our team.
Over the past few years, Geo Oceans has sent personnel and equipment from Australia to deliver asset deployed ROV inspections and survey work in Nigeria, Angola, Brazil, Brunei, Malaysia and the Gulf of Mexico. Work scopes have included FPSO UWILD and water ballast tank inspections, jacket and subsea pipeline inspections, pipeline surveys, coral and environmental surveys, and Seismic Node Surveys to name a few.
Many of these works are now recurring with client contracts in place and Geo Oceans has plans in place to further scale up and grow exports with increased investment planned across three primary regions including Australia & SEA, UK/Africa and the Americas.
