Geo Oceans used a Mini-ROV system to insert a pneumatic plug to allow isolation of boiler blowdown valve that needed replacement. The plug was inserted into a 50 mm diameter penetration and the valve was replaced in 6 hours, with minimal disruption to the facility. The ROV control station and LARS were set up in the store’s laydown on the FPSO vessel, delivering significant cost savings compared to traditional methods.
