Big Bank Shoal in the Timor Sea is 560 km offshore from Darwin. Geo Oceans chartered a vessel contractor and mobilised a two person team and GO Visions towed camera (drop camera system) to site to complete a marine benthic habitat survey, in support of the client’s environmental management objectives for the Buffalo Oil Field development.
The team captured geo-referenced HD video footage, DSLR still images of the seafloor and GO Visions™ marine habitat GIS data across benthic transects.
